| 8020 Movement, Support for Local Oral Care Activities |
| For years, Sunstar has promoted grassroots activities in oral care awareness as the core of oral care. We have been conveying to children in an easy-to-understand fashion the importance and methods of oral care through the 8020 Movement (“8020” means to have 20 teeth at age 80) developed in Japan and family musicals in cooperation with local dental associations. In 2004, support was lent to the “Oral Care Development Project” that is being promoted by the Toyonaka Health Promotion Committee (chaired by Toyoharu Kusano) and volunteer groups from Toyonaka, Osaka, as a resident-directed oral care awareness activity. The project presents “oral health care” to residents as a part of the city’s campaign for health awareness, Kenko Toyonaka 21. A forum was staged in March to announce results and topics under the themes of “making residents aware of their own health issues”, “having them share these issues with the community” and “having them think and act on their own to solve these problems”. Sunstar helped to close the distance between specialists and residents by putting into practice “oral communication” using the marketing know-how of a business and promoting communication activities in cooperation with local governments, dentists, dental hygienists and persons from citizens’ groups. |

| Support for the Osaka Symphoniker |
| Sunstar shares the sentiment of the Osaka Symphoniker in their efforts to “foster a new music culture in the Osaka by providing young people with more opportunities to perform on stage” and, therefore, continues to support their cause. Several employees of the company are amongst those who perform periodically. |

| Interaction with Local Residents: Participation in Local Fairs |
| Since building our plant in Tokushima, Sunstar has interacted with people of the local community in many ways. One example is how our employees and their families have taken part in the Awaodori parade staged every August. In Yamanashi, Sunstar participates as “the army of fire of Takeda Gyobunoshoyu Nobukado” in the historically traditional “Shingen-ko Festival”. |

| In Takatsuki, Osaka, where our headquarters are located, employees put on the same livery coats and join the fun and excitement of local festivals. |
