| Continued Cooperation with WHO: Donating Toothbrushes to Tanzania |

| Sunstar collects and analyzes survey data on the state of oral hygiene in countries around the world from the World Health Organization (WHO), and is supporting the WHO’s policy on oral health care. Also, every year since 2002, Sunstar has been donating toothbrushes to the needy through the WHO and, in 2004, sent 31,000 toothbrushes and 8,000 electric toothbrushes to Tanzania. |

| The donated toothbrushes were hand-delivered to elementary schools in the capital and other areas by local WHO staffers, and used to improve oral care including instructions on proper brushing. |

| Oral Care Support in America: Sponsorship of “Smiles Across America” |

In the USA, Sunstar Americas, Inc. constructively takes part in oral care awareness activities. In 2004, they began providing support to the Smiles Across America program of Oral Health America, which provides preventative oral care services to children in major cities, including Chicago where Sunstar Americas has its headquarters, who have little opportunity to receive oral checkups and oral care instructions. The program provides free checkups, cleaning, fluorine coating, sealant and continuous oral care guidance for parents and children. This time, about 14,000 children took part.
Also, since 2003, Sunstar Americas has be a co-sponsor of the National Spit Tobacco Education Program of Oral Health America that aims to prevent little league baseball players from using chewing tobacco. |

| Call to Dental Partners: Creation of the “World Dental Hygienist Award” |

| The Sunstar Foundation for Oral Health Promotion was founded in 1977 for the purpose of promoting oral care and this year marks 28 years of service. In cooperation with the international hygienist federations and international oral care magazines, they created the “World Dental Hygienist Award” to recognize and encourage contributions by dental hygienists to society in general and the oral care world. The award was announced at International Symposium on Dental Hygiene (Spain) in July 2004. The award is given every three years and recognizes 1) papers on dental hygiene,2) results in the fields of oral care instruction, support, awareness, innovation, study, prevention, treatment and care activities, and 3) volunteer activities and papers by students attending dental hygiene schools. |

| Promotion of Research into “Periodontal Disease and Physical Health”: Call for Papers |

| Through the journals of three periodontal associations, the Sunstar Foundation for Oral Health Promotion started calling for research papers into “Periodontal Disease and Physical Health” in order to promote research into the relations between the mouth and body. Papers solicited in 2005 were announced at Europerio 5 that was staged in Spain in June 2006. |
