| The Benefits of Chatting / Riiko |
 |
There are many things that make me think, “I’m glad to have been born a woman!” One of the top three is “the benefits of chatting,” something that every woman has experienced, I think. I’m talking about feeling refreshed and cheery after having a good chat-no matter the topic of conversation, whether it’s about concerns, complaints, interests, food, fashion or some other topic.
Sometimes I get together to eat with several other HIV-positive women. They are the most powerful of all my friends. We eat a lot, drink, laugh, share the latest news, and sometimes cry…. It’s always a fun, meaningful time that we share together, and we always part ways with smiles on our faces, commenting that there wasn’t enough time to say all we wanted. Just seeing their faces once in a while makes me feel better and cheers me up.
It may be exaggerating a little, but I think that chatting with good friends is one of the necessities of life. It frees your soul and is a positive action because you don’t fear becoming involved with others.
I hope that I can have an enjoyable chat with the friends I meet from around the world each month on this Sunstar website as well.
Well, ladies, when shall we chat? |
